Drugs And Alcohol Facts

Drugs and alcohol, when misused and abused, destroy families, wreck lives, can lead to prison, sickness, irreversible mental and physical disabilities, and often a horrible death. Addiction is a treatable disease and drug and alcohol related accidents and deaths are 100% preventable. Recovery is possible and proven if and when the addict is ready for help. But until then, an addict has many drugs to choose from including over the counter drugs (OTC drugs) such as cough medicine, prescription drugs such as Opioid painkillers, synthetic drugs (Bath Salts and Synthetic Marijuana) sold at gas stations under the guise of “Potpourri”, and illegal drugs such as Heroin and Cocaine.

Below is a list of drugs and basic drug facts, drug effects, and drug information for each. It is not a complete list and each drug can have it’s own website worth of information. It is simply a basic drug guide for you to use as a drug reference. If you feel you or a loved one has an addiction to drugs or alcohol, please understand that there is hope.
