Jonathan Sobelman’s experience in the addiction, treatment, and recovery fields spans over two decades. He co-founded and served as executive director at The Recovery Place and John’s Place treatment facilities. During his 23 years of experience, Jonathan has worked for the largest names in the behavioral health industry including United Healthcare, Magellan Behavioral Health, Broadspire Services, HCA Healthcare, PsychSolutions, and Elements Behavioral Health.
As a private consultant, Jonathan helped addiction treatment facilities become Joint Commission Accredited and wrote operations procedures.
Jonathan earned his Masters degree in mental health counseling in 1996 and his Masters degree in business administration in 2001. He obtained both graduate degrees from Nova Southeastern University.
Jonathan is licensed as a mental health counselor in the State of Florida and is recognized by the state of Florida as a Designated Supervisor to Masters level mental health counselor interns.
When Jonathan isn’t working you can find him enjoying a relaxing boat ride with his family, rocking out at a heavy metal concert with old friends, or eating something very spicy.
Seth Prezant’s experience in marketing, public relations, and community outreach spans over 26 years. As a creative director and vice president for a national advertising agency, Seth mastered the skills of communication for local as well as nationally known companies and brands. After 16 wonderful years in the world of advertising, his entrepreneurial spirit got to him and he started an education-based Science company.
Driven by his passion for education and his desire to share knowledge with others, Seth exciting in-house Science programs for schools and after school enrichment programs. He continuously developed and presented in-school field trips that support national and state benchmarks in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). In the course of ten years, he had presented his Science programs to well over one million children including at-risk and special needs populations.
He hosted educator workshops throughout South Florida and was honored to be a keynote and guest speaker at many educator conferences. Seth sold his education company in 2016 to start a new business in the field of drug and alcohol addiction recovery.
Seth earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Journalism and Mass Communication and a Minor degree in English in 1992 from Florida International University.
When Seth isn’t networking or educating others you’ll find him at the sandbar with his kayak, at the dog park, or hiking some mountain terrain with his children.
Scott Sobelman got a good taste of the addiction treatment industry in 2007 when he became the Director of Food Services for a Detox facility. From there he moved on to Director of Housing at The Recovery Place and worked for industry companies such as Treatment Solutions, Elements Behavioral Health and The Right Place Detox.
Scott has vast knowledge in the substance Abuse and Mental Health field having worked in many positions and areas including Human Resources, Admissions, and Administration. Scott has extensive experience working with major insurance companies as a Utilization Review Coordinator. Other areas of expertise and experience include; Data Management and Analytics, Revenue Cycle Management, Quality Control for licensing and Accreditations, Orientation Life Skills, and Case Management.
Scott earned his Bachelor’s degree in 2000 from Florida State University and his Masters degree in 2003 from Florida International University. He has completed all the courses necessary to earn him the title of Certified Addiction Professional.
Scott enjoys spending his free time with his wife and two young daughters, playing basketball with the boys, and firing up the grill for a family BBQ.
Melissa FuchsIntake Coordinator
Melissa Fuchs began her career in Social Work in 1996 working for the Department of Children and Families in Delray Beach, Florida. As a Family Services Counselor she provided case management to families, conducted crisis interventions, maintained documentations, and attended court hearings. From there she moved on to various roles including Intake Specialist, Social Services Specialist, and Case Manager to name a few.
Melissa’s experience spans over 20 years working with organizations such as Department of Human Resources, Portland, OR, Department of Human Resources, Lawton, OK, Advocacy Inc, Dallas, Tx, and National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Other areas of expertise and experience include; Conducting skills classes and support groups, Case review court presentations, Case management, Assessments and Evaluations, and Drug and Alcohol addiction referrals.
Melissa is a LBSW and earned her Bachelor’s of Social Work from Florida Atlantic University in 2007. Later she began earning credits for a Masters of Behavioral Science from Cameron University. She is licensed by the Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners and has over 700 hours of Social Services training by States of Oklahoma, Oregon, Maryland, and Florida.
When Melissa isn’t helping others or volunteering you’ll find her at the beach with a book in her hand, drinking coffee with friends, or enjoying the outdoor weather, so long as it’s under 78 degrees.
